PULYMILK

PULYMILK was the first product designed to clean milk frothing systems to be listed with NSF for use in espresso machines for in place cleaning. It was the first single stage cleaning system to remove both calcium and fat deposits from steam wands, pitchers and frothers on contact. It was the first to use the self portioning dispenser bottle (a special shout out to everyone who flattered us by their imitation).

Using foaming agents similar to those in PULYCAFF insures that all contact surfaces contacted by foamed milk are also reached by the cleaning agents in PULYMILK. Its easy to see the foaming action at work and just as easy to see when it’s finished. Nothing cleans more effectively nor rinses as cleanly as PULYMILK.

It seems fitting that the country that invented espresso machines, automatic milk frothers and micro-foam steam tips would develop the best products to keep them clean.

Simply portion 50ml of PULYMILK into a one quart container of cold water, insert the frother pickup tube into the container and operate the frother as you would when steaming milk. Cycle until all of the solution is is used. Let the system stand for about 60 seconds and repeat the process with clean fresh water. When fully rinsed, the foaming agents will be gone.

To Clean Traditional Steam Wands:
Prepare the cleaning solution as you would for an automatic frother, but make sure to use a pitcher large enough so that the solution is at least a couple of inches from the rim (trust us on this one).
Simply steam the solution until it reaches the cutoff temperature of the automatic steam wand and let stand while attending your other cleaning duties.
Encrusted steam wands could take 10-20 minutes to completely clean or require a simple damp cloth to remove any residual product. Normal milk buildup on steam wands will completely dissolve with no additional effort on your part in a matter of minutes.
PULYMILK will also clean the inside of the steam wand; simply blow out the wand with steam when finished and wipe with a sanitary cloth.

Rancilio Automatic Wands:
Follow the instructions for the automatic wands above, but insert a silicone tube into the cleaning solution and connect to the air inlet orifice next to the steam wand. This will pull cleaning solution through the air inlet system and keep the pathways clean and sanitary. Do the same thing when rinsing with fresh water.

To Clean Accessories:
Mix, soak until all the residue is gone and rinse. It really is that simple.

To Remove Milk From Boilers:
If you catch it right away, you can use PULYMILK to remove milk from a freshly contaminated boiler; but you should call us to get instructions on how best to do it.
